• FNS50504 Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management) - available NOW
  (FNS40804 subjects form part of full Diploma. Those who already hold the FNS40804 / Cert IV qualification need only complete FNS50504 subjects)

  This qualification is designed to reflect the role of either employers or employees working in finance and mortgage broking, including those who are independent and work through an aggregator, or who need to manage a workplace team.  In addition to undertaking duties as described in the FNS40804 Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking), they may also perform duties such as:
  - recommend complex loan combinations to meet clients' needs
  - assess prospective borrowers' eligibility to obtain finance and their capacity to service debt
  - operate and build their own independent business
  - broker complex and/or commercial or equipment finance, project finance and finance for property developers
  - act as licensees

• W.A. Supplement to FNS40804

  The W.A. Supplement course covers relevant Supplementary Western Australian material, compulsory for mortgage brokers wishing to operate in W.A.  This course is required in addition to the Cert IV course.  The DOCEP Competency Guidelines stipulate the mandatory completion of the additional subjects covered in this course. • Certificate III to Certificate IV Upgrade
  

  If you already have a Certificate III (in Lending or similar) you may upgrade your qualification to a Certificate IV through NFI's comprehensive "Upgrade" course.  Everyone has a different level of experience and there are therefore different methods by which you can achieve your Certificate IV.  The Upgrade Course is best completed through online e-learning.  There are 5 assessments which can all be completed online.  If you have your Cert III plus experience as a broker, you may want to consider application for your Cert IV through RPL (see below).  Contact us for more details.
   

• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

  Brokers with a minimum of two years experience in loan writing may qualify for their Certificate IV solely through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).  Experienced brokers can click here to go straight to our competitively priced RPL procedure guidelines.

  The National Finance Institute has developed a fast track Commercial Origination Course designed specifically for mortgage brokers who want to expand into commercial finance.
