“MFAA Preferred Training Provider”



MFAA EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Listed below are the MFAA's educational requirements for membership

 

 

There are four current options for MFAA membership:

1. Student - Not yet writing loans

2. Associate Credit Adviser (ACA) - this is the entry level for the majority of applicants

3. Credit Adviser (CA)  

4. Certified Credit Adviser (CCA) - highest level

 


Education requirements necessary for each membership option:

1. Student

1.     Not yet writing loans, and

2.     Studying Diploma (to complete by 30/6/12) and have completed MFAA's 201A

 

2. Associate Credit Adviser (ACA)  - Two types of ACA’s:

Type 1:

1.  Those who have less than 2 years’ loan writing experience, and

2. Have Cert IV and studying Diploma (or have Diploma and have MFAA's 201A)

 

Type 2:

1.  Those who already have 2 years’ loan writing experience (in the last 5 years), and

2.  Have Cert IV and Studying Diploma and have completed MFAA's 201A

 

**Applicants who qualify for the ACA category and have less than 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years must be mentored by an existing MFAA Full Member or the nominated rep of a full member, for 2 years.

 

3. Credit Adviser (CA)

1. Already have 2 years’ loan writing experience, and

2. Have Diploma and have completed MFAA's 201A

 

4. Certified Credit Adviser (CCA)

1. Already have at least 5 years’ loan writing experience, and

2. Currently hold Credit Adviser (CA) status, and

3. Will need to complete an MFAA Certification Process.


Note: Certificate IV can be either FNS40804 or FNS40810; 
Diploma can be either FNS50504 or FNS50310
